Colors,
level by level

The color words of Spanish, from rojo, azul and verde to the shades further up the levels, each with its English meaning. Colors are adjectives in Spanish, so they follow the noun and agree with it; the note above the list shows how.

In Lock&Learn Spanish these words sit in their level packs (Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and more), one per glance on the widget: a word waits on the widget, readable from day one; one tap reveals the meaning and a real sentence. Beginner is free in full; every other pack opens with a free preview.

Type to filter by word or meaning. Flashcards hides the meaning until you tap a row; Shuffle deals the list in a new order.

Colors are adjectives in Spanish, so they follow the noun and agree with it: un coche rojo, una casa roja, flores rojas. Colors ending in -e or a consonant change only for the plural (verde, verdes; azul, azules), and colors named after things, like rosa and naranja, often stay the same.
